Closing is not a manipulative trick at the end of your sales process, but a natural conclusion of good discovery and value demonstration. The best closers understand that closing begins in the first conversation - by asking good questions, uncovering pain points, and getting commitment at every step. Effective closing techniques include: the assumptive close (talk as if the deal is already done), the summary close (summarize all agreed upon value), the alternative close (offer two options that both lead to a deal), the urgency close (use FOMO or expiring discounts), and the direct ask ("Based on everything we discussed, are you ready to move forward?"). The key is to continuously "trial close" throughout the process - ask for small commitments that indicate whether you're on the right track.
